Gene Locke Ad #2: "Only One"
Good, if not inspiring ...
The opening half of the opening line, regarding Gene being the "only one" endorsed by the Chronicle, evoked laughter. For Team Locke's sake, they should hope I'm the only one who heard it that way. It's usually not a good sign for an ad to inspire that kinda reaction.
The ad itself looks good, but it strikes me as the type of ad you'd want to saturate the airwaves with in the first half of October, not as your closing argument with voters.
In other Locke news, Martha notes that the candidate will be (has been?) on KSEV to flex one half of his pincer. If he was on Hendee's show, I wasn't tuned in. I'll be checking the front side of Patrick's show to see if he might be on then. I don't think I can say enough times how utterly dumb his approach has been to base his chances on Republican support.

"...to lead the way." To Lanier's House? New Orleans? Where are you leading us, Gene? You're a joke.
