Stuff that I will be addressing after some time to appreciate the significance of tomorrow. The reax have already begun in earnest on Evan Smith's article, in particular.

For now, I'll simply note two things: It sure doesn't seem like "liberal bias" to write that sorta thing in a national publication; and what's the over/under that Paul Burka will write a feature story for the Monthly that doesn't contain his usual dose of "Hey, look at me ... important people talk to me!" style of journalism. Seriously ... he had the notes and background to write a far more compelling story on the race and pretty much junked it for kitsch & drivel instead.
