» Chron: Keenum's magic saves UH in win over UTEP

Well, I had this game on my calendar since the schedule was released. For no other reason than to see former Trinity QB Trevor Vittatoe show off his Mike Price-coached arm. I ended up punking out and not going due to the tightness it'd put on the rest of my schedule.

I'm glad I didn't go.

I either would have given up at halftime and left disgusted that I was watching such a cruddy game ... or I would have stayed till the very end and probably died of a heart attack. Either the "shoulda won it" drive, or the "really did win it" drive would have been enough to send me off.

Maybe I'm just too darned domesticated, but knowing that next week's suddenly-important game with Rice is on CBS next week really speaks to the cheapskate in me.

Read Murph's rundown of the game. I can't do it justice, save for admitting that it gave me even more gray hairs than I already had.

Elsewhere ... what the hell happened to Texas Tech? I was really starting to look forward to them vs Alabama for all the marbles. Now it's another BCS nightmare ... especially if Alabama loses a game somewhere in the mix.
