Looks like I'll have a chance to check in on the homestead tomorrow.

For Monday, Sept 15, 2008 METRO will be operating the following service:

• 1 Hospital
• 2 Bellaire
• 25 Richmond turning back at Rogerdale
• 82 Westheimer
• Main Street Red Line - Buses will follow the METRORail Red Line route.
• 20 Long Point
• 50 Heights/Harrisburg
• 8 South Main
• 40 Telephone/Pecore to the Eastwood Transit Center
• 56 Airline
• 65 Bissonnet
• 163 Fondren

These routes were deemed priority routes because they provide access to hospitals, grocery stores and employment locations.

To aid Houstonians in their first steps toward normalcy, METRO will not be charging fares for the first few days of service.

Buses will not follow normal schedules but will operate on a frequency of every 20 minutes. For safety, buses will be stopping at every intersection on their route.

Service hours will be 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. to comply with the city's curfew.
