Sunday in Ike-ville

Food is being served in downtown. I hung out at Frank's in a line that felt worse than 2am Saturday's bar rush. I talked myself out of spending what would feel like an eternity for a single slice of cheese pizza. I'll tough it out till Monday to see if CVS or the other C-store opens up (both were obviously closed today).

I did a bit more walking around downtown. Short version: glass everywhere. The humidity kinda catches up to you slowly - at least it did to me. The homeless folks are still out there and it doesn't look great for them. The cleanup crews are definitely cranking it up and cops are still keeping people out of the messier parts of DT.

Cable is out here, but it's been intermittent for a while last night. At some point, that'll drive me nuts. I might have to move my big monitor back to it's desk and check the local digital broadcasts. I'm not quite that desperate yet, though. In the meantime, I'm going through some of the last bits of food in the pantry before I get to the unidentifiable stuff. With a little bit of luck, one of the C-stores will open up downtown tomorrow.
