Bill Clinton @ Lakewood

A little blogging over at the other site to note one little campaign-related news: Bill Clinton is officially the first President to visit Lakewood. You can check the other link for my tales of 6am grogginess, my habit for naming Secret Service canines, and a little tale I like to call "When Jared Met Bubba."

All that aside, one of the drawbacks to political hackdom is that while the rest of the political world is in hyperdrive, I get the thrill of becoming a hermit crab in the office. Nature of the biz, so no complaints. But in this particular season, I've had to pass up hanging with Bubba at my alma mater; partying with Chelsea and Ugly Betty, and looking like I was going to pass up Bubba at an event that's mere miles from the office downtown today. So, upon learning of (or, thinking I'd learned of) a stop by my own church, that just qualified as a no-brainer. So there, I got my one Presidential-campaign-related event to take in for this season. And a lot of great music and a great sermon. No complaints.

Oh, and the sermon this week? Praying Boldly. Never hurts when running for President.
