Quick First Take on "The Party Faithful"

Just wrapped up Amy Sullivan's "The Party Faithful" on the way back from church (not sure if that's ironic or just simply fitting). Trust me when I say I'll have a lot to say about the book over time - all of it good. But for now, I just have to highlight Amy's ability to peg us political pros all too masterfully. This is her description of Michigan Democratic Party Chair, Mark Brewer:

... Brewer has the unmistakable look of a campaign lifer who lives off of delivery pizzas and never has time to get a haircut.

For the record, I prefer the walk over to Frank's Pizza. Shows how much Amy knows!
