» Ex-Coog Klingler: Pardee on UH's radar as coaching option
I've got to admit ... Pardee's age and absence are worth a pause. But the prospect of bringing in Klingler as the OC has me - officially - giddy as a schoolgirl. At worst, you're preparing him and Jason Phillips for some real coaching experience down the road. Possibly even getting Klingler set up to take over in a handful of years. I repeat: ... giddy. ... schoolgirl.
Bonus points if you're old enough to get the reference in the title.
Once I settle down, I'd probably point out the noteworthiness of Bowden's name being absent from the list of prospective coaches. It looks like we're down to breaking in a new head coach one way or another. And from among a long list of someone else's OC or position coach. From that bundle, Haywood still sounds the most impressive, but I don't claim to have done an exorbitant amount of homework on the remaining list. Say what you will of Pardee, but he's got a track record as a head coach that's worth considering.
