Trevor Vittatoe, UTEP's QB of the Future

Meet Trevor Vittatoe, former Trinity High standout, now UTEPs QB of the future ...

Actually, UTEP has an interim solution for their QB fix. Vittatoe is a redshirt freshman who's never played in a system that's as pass-happy as that of Mike Price's UTEP team. They'll be working in Lorne Sam some of the time, which ought to be interesting since Sam'll be lined up at receiver when he's not under center. The move is designed to ease Vittatoe into a leadership role. It's pretty clear that he's slated to be a four-year starter, though. Here's hoping the guy sees nothing but success as long as UTEP isn't playing UH. Next year, UTEP visits the Rob ... easy call on what game I catch then.
