I'm a Pepper ... period
I'm perilously close to de-boarding the Anne Clutterbuck bandwagon over this vitally important issue:
"I love Dr Pepper," said Councilwoman Anne Clutterbuck, who attended Baylor University in Waco, birthplace of the sweet, syrupy pop. "But I'm a Diet Coke gal, now."
Seems the City of Houston is set to have Dr Pepper become the official soda vendor for city buildings. It only makes sense, if you ask me. And not just financial sense, though it's got that going for it as well.
A few talking points for our Coke-head friends to consider:
- Diet Dr Pepper tastes closer to the original soda than any other Diet soda.
- Diet Coke tastes like sandpaper and vinegar.
- Dr Pepper is awesome.
- The only real debate should be between regular Dr Pepper and Dublin Dr Pepper.
- I'm pretty sure they torture babies in the process of making Coca Cola products.
Addendum: From the Chron.comments, this hits pretty close to home:
Texan I - Wanna Coke?Texan II - Sure.
Texan I - What kind?
Texan II - Dr Pepper.
If you grew up here you know this to be true.
So very, very true.

Dr. Pepper tastes like cough syrup.Corpus Christi City Council
just had a meeting that lasted eleven hours. They all drank coke.
This debate is easy: Dublin Dr Pepper. Done.
There is no better. They seem to be making Imperial Sugar Dr Pepper elsewhere now too, it has sodium benozate added, and doesn't taste quite as good as dublin, but it's tons better than the corn syrup junk (or fake sugar junk)
Who could pick the corn syrup junk over real sugar?!!
Were it easier to pick up Dublin DP here in Houston (and the cost was closer to the commercial product), I'd concur.
