Insite on Privatizing NASA
Isiah Carey asks: HOW LIKELY IS THIS: NASA TAKEN OVER BY PRIVATE SECTOR!
Not likely ... but it should still be advocated. Me? I've stated my case previously.

So have I.
If you want to privatize space exploration then go do it.
What are you waiting for? A government handout?
(The answer to that is YES. They want NASA to be privatized using tax dollars. Uh.....right)
Ironically, John, if it were mine to privatize, it would already be private ... wouldn't it?
That said, if you've got anything documenting that someone is looking for a government handout in order to actually privatize NASA (you do reference a "they," after all), by all means share.
When your private venture gets off the ground, you can have the name of NASA.
Good luck and look forward to seeing you guys on the moon!
(after you spend 100 Billion of your own money.)
You should probably either learn to read, Coby, or cut back on the alcohol. If you had, you would have known that I've also commented that a trip to the moon is a pointless mission.
Now, if you can defend why $100B out of the public treasury is worthwhile to spend on something so pointless, more power to you. I'd rather give poor kids health insurance and let all kids get through school safely and well educated. Sure beats welfare for engineers.
There you go again! You short-sighted Democrats are all alike. Feeding a child supports a generation; exploring the stars is the future of all our generations, just as exploring the oceans was for Europeans in past centuries.
Wow. I think I'd have been a bit more generous toward someone's argument if I couldn't tell the difference between the moon and a star.
But by all means go on to tell me how your life has been benefited by the post-Hubble era of NASA. I'm especially interested in knowing how only the public sector could do anything that it presently does.
