Texas Politics: Different meanings for "pro life"
"Stem cell research is pro-life. It embodies the hope we find in scripture - that we may see in our own lifetimes the lame made to walk and the sick healed," said the Rev. Frank Goldsmith, pastor of Koening Lane Christian Church in Austin.
Meanwhile, it's pro-life day at the lege. If you're up to it, how's about recommending something like this at the state level.

Good points on both, Greg.
I'm all for "95-10" initiatives so long as abortions remain safe and legal for those who, for whatever reason, feel they have no other alternative.
...and so long as such initiatives aren't tied to measures that like those that require 17-foot blinking neon signs at pharmacy cash registers that tell you that the "morning after pill" causes cancer, AIDS, world poverty, world hunger and makes Brittany Spears cut her hair (*cough* Frank Corte *cough*) or the required distrubution of factually questionable literature to women seeking the procedure.
I'm all for letting doctors be doctors and legislators NOT be doctors (unless, of course, the two professions overlap). But we may disagree on one point w/ regard to the morning after pill. I believe it should remain a prescription drug for a while still. That has to do with the safety of it rather than the existence of it.
