Coog's House!

Nice little midday venture over to City Hall today for the Cougar football team getting a little love from the city on their conference title. Smallish crowd, but as a Coog, I think we're accustomed to that. The only insufferable moment was Michael Berry getting the mic and going on about this great 9-3 team. Small problem, though ... they're 10-3. That sorta took away from Boy Wonder's tie-in as to how he graduated in 1993. Alas, when they bring back some gamecock hide from Memphis, they'll be 11-3. I was born on November 3rd. Take that, Michael Berry!

Anyways, most of the players were rather understated, with the possible exception of WR Vincent Marshall going on for about two minutes with "Yeahhhhh Baaaabbby!!!" Hey, we just won a conference title. It'll suffice for snappy commentary. Kudos to Coach Briles for knocking the "unbelievers" as being "dead-ass wrong," though. That's precisely the sort of witty repartee I was hoping for. You gotta love that man.
