DMN: Euless Trinity enters national football poll
Following its 29-7 win against Jesuit, the Euless Trinity football team cracked the National Prep Football Poll on Monday. The defending 5A Division I state champion entered the top 25 at No. 21.Southlake Carroll is ranked No. 3 and Lufkin No. 7 nationally.
I was too overloaded to check in on my Coogs' heartbreaking loss to Southern Miss or even how my high school did. Heck, I didn't even have the attention span for the Cowboys-Texans game. But given the spate of sports disappointments, it's good to see the train keeps a rollin' up in Euless.

It's hard to spare time for such a determinedly losing team as the Texans.
Just booked tix for the TX State Bobcats. They went from horrible to great stuff in the last three years. They have a great coach now, at least for the moment. Last year I went to their three great playoff games.
They're in San Marcos, halfway between Austin and San Antonio.
