Chet by Twenty?

Chet Edwards by 17-20 points? Don't get me wrong, I'd love to take it as fact. But the makeup of the 17th District just leads me to think that Chet better get used to a lot of 2-6% wins at best. Certainly, Chet has to be liking the hand he has to play this go-round. But I still don't see a 20 point win for him on Election Night. Go ahead fate, prove me wrong ... please!

Chet has gotten some nice newsie endorsements this time around. "Even the Republican" Dallas Morning News has endorsed him, following on the heels of the Star-Telegram doing so last week. Chipping in some milk money, of course, wouldn't be a bad idea.

SIDENOTE: On that note, allow me to make a similar plug for a fellow Coog: State Rep. Chuck Hopson. He ain't my State Rep., but at least he went to the right school and votes pretty good by my estimation.
