Officer Johnson, RIP

One story that truly deserves to stand out from a bundled gaggle of links is that of HPD officer Rodney Johnson being fatally shot. Not a whole lot else to add to that other than an offering of prayers and condolences for his wife and five kids. Chipping in for the 100 Club is also a good move.

To be brutally honest, there are reactions and emotions that I'd love to spill over into blog form when I see stuff like this. Who knows, some may. But for now, at least a day of remembering what the job entails for people like officer Johnson and the rest of HPD's finest is in order.

What about the company that hired this illegal alien that killed Rodney Johnson? Wont they suffer from any criminal or civil negligence? 25 Americans a day are killed by illegal aliens, and those illegal aliens are hired by American companies. The worst thing about this whole tragedy is that it could have been prevented not only through more responsible employers but also if Houston had dropped this rediculous sanctuary city policy.
