TIme is of the essence today, so in the spirit of Kuff, I direct you to the fine blogging of others not named Greg:

  • Who else to start with, but Kuff himself ... this time covering the fallout from a Wong-Cohen debate where Kuff himself was an issue of sorts.

  • Texans for Lawsuit Reform makes their endorsements. John Whitmire is the token Democrat of the bunch. Go figure ... the guy who works for Locke, Liddell? Really? Who would guessed? As tough as it would have been, Whitmire really should have had a primary challenge this time around.

  • Shane Sklar's campaign spokeschick, Austin Bonner adds some YouTube fun for the day, this time with a Shane Sklar intro video. There's more video in the hopper for some future TV time as well. Stay tuned.

  • Phillip Martin, also at BOR, catches Kinky saying things that my momma would still whoop me for this day. Sorry Kinky, I just can't vote for someone that wasn't raised right.

  • Nationally, Democrats For Life's Kristen Day is blogging over at Faithful Democrats. The focus is on renewing the push behind the 95-10 Initiative and Lincoln Davis' Pregnant Women Support Act, both worthy objectives.

  • Somewhat tangential to that, there's a fascinating blog discussion between Jim Wallis and Ralph Reed going on over at Wallis' digs. It still strikes me as a debate between false choices, but it's an intriguing read if nothing else. For my money, however, I'm going with Amy Sullivan's take on Ralph Reed's "even falser" choice.

  • And most importantly of them all, the new issue of Democracy Journal is out. My printer curses the day Cherny & Baer put this project together. Among the articles atop my reading list, there's work by Elaine Kamarck, Karen Kornbluh, and Joel Kotkin that piques my interest. I'm not sure the subject matter of Professor Galston's work interests me (ironic because I consider Democracy co-founder Ken Baer to be the authoritative take-down artist of all things Lakoffian), but Galston qualifies as one of those individuals that I will read whatever it is they put out. I'll probably get around to reading all of it this weekend, but this'll get me through till then.

  • Joe still up in the polls. Ho hum.

  • Got a preview copy of Andrew Sullivan's "The Conservative Soul" today as well. Flipped through the first chapter on the way to work and it's succeeded in getting my attention. With any luck, I might finish it over the weekend.
