HS Football: Life Is Good ...
And that's with our backup QB completing his first three attempts for 38, 57, & 62 yards? And this is a ground attack offense? Justise Campbell makes the lineup at RB finally. Dare I say, a so-so debut? 56 yards on 16 carries? Still, not like the Trojans needed much more. Good showing, guys. To Waco next week!

This was a good victory. Permian nearly always has a good team. In fact, they won their first two games this year by large margins. But they just couldn't deal with Trinity's huge and talented offensive line, or Trinity's defense [who held Permian to a piddling amount of total yardage]. I'm not ready to predict another state title, but it looks like it'll be a good year for Trinity.
The schedule this season looks toughest early and late. That we got two great wins with less-than-ideal cavaets (suspended RB, injured QB, replacing the best Trojan backfield since 1994, etc) is promising. If Coach Lineweaver can coach the penalties out of them by midseason, we ought to be looking as tough as ever.
