So a caucus of 40+ precinct chairs have ramrodded their choice of who to write in as their alternative to Nick Lampson.
Good luck finding the hyphen on that thing!

Greg-Why does everyone keep talking abt the hyphen? The law says it could be what ever configuration of her name they pre-progam the computer to accept or accept afterwrad.
No hyphen is needed for that. It can even be Shellie, Shelli, Shelly or Shelley and by the way it was 86 precinct chairs who are elected by their own neighbors in their precinct communities which is a whole lot better than the prior process that was a total of FOUR precinct chairs, one from each of the four caounties.
That would not have been good and I have the Texas Democratic Party to thank for that process not going foward following Kathy Haigler being elected as the one from Harris County and Terese Raia from Fort Bend. Burt
