"I Stick With My Friends"
I have to confess, John Lewis is one of those people that I have the most insane degree of respect for in Congress these days. A lot of that goes back to his work in the civil rights battles of the 60s, where Lewis was a leader among giants.
And though it won't win brownie points among Nedheads, kossacks, or others in Left Blogistan, Bull Moose blogs some quotage that ought to give anyone pause for what principles are worth in politics these days:
"But U.S. Rep. John Lewis, a Democrat from Georgia, said Lieberman has his support no matter what happens in the primary. Lewis was in Hartford Monday with Lieberman and U.S. Rep. John Larson, D-Conn., discussing faith-based initiatives to fight youth violence."I stick with my friends," Lewis said. "He's going to win. You heard it from John Lewis. He's going to win."
I've always respected John Lewis ... I don't see that ever changing.

I read with a smile on my face what the Bull Moose blogger had to say about Joe Lieberman. While so many disgusting, vile, lies are being directed his way, courtesy of the liberal bloggers, it was refreshing to hear someone supporting Lieberman. My hats off the Dan Gerstein, who had a terrific op-ed piece in the Journal Inquirer the other day, to the Bull Moose for standing by him, and to you for doing the same. We need to reelect Joe back to the Senate, and put to rest the swiftboating operations going on against Joe Lieberman. Keep up the good work.
What can I say: I stick with my ideological cohorts?
