Fun With the Media ...

Overheard at the New Revolution Convention:

Me: So the FWST says that Bell's speech highlighted that the race was between him & Perry, but Harvey Kronberg says the speech was all about Strayhorn.

Harvey Kronberg: You gotta problem with Kronberg?

...........

Gardner Selby: I asked for a text copy of your speech but I didn't get one.

Hank Gilbert: I don't write speeches.

Gardner Selby: That's the kiss of death. You need to have a written speech.

Me: I thought what we needed was reporters who can remember things.

It's not all bad that I've done, though. I managed to be politely introduced to Kristen Mack without going off on what passes for her "news reporting." I'm also in the press room with AP's Angela Brown, who's been nothing but nice the entire time. So for those keeping score at home - that's one positive for the media world (AP/Brown) and the rest ....??? Still coming up short.
