Reggie Bowl Recap
After a frightening start that saw the Texans dominating the 49ers in the early moments of the game, the stars finally aligned properly in overtime, with the Texans losing 17-20, thereby ensuring that the #1 pick comes our way. At least something good came of the season. Here's to hoping that Reggie Bush has an immediate impact on the team and doesn't become the next KiJana Carter.
Meanwhile, John McClain pretty much echoes my previous guess: Capers out, Casserly back for a year. Look for an announcement tomorrow along those lines.
With that, the question becomes who wants to coach the Texans. Dan Reeves, of course, will be the leading contender since he's already on board as a contender. Reeves is quality, no argument there. But I still think Gary Kubiak would be a better potential long-term fit, maybe even better if Reeves stayed on in his current role for the first year.

I think this draft is very interesting, in part because of the Saints drama. (I don't think Leinart plays them if drafted.) Given the busts of RBs in recent years, not to mention the trend towards alternating RBs, I wonder if the Texans are better off trading that pick for a slew of picks and players. Other teams might want Leinart or Bush.
Good, even dominating backs, don't seem to be so rare a commodity, not like a comparable QB. Plus, RBs are not that durable more often than not. I don't see many Texans games, but it seems, like the Cowboys, the offensive line just isn't very good. Very, very, very few (maybe 1 or 2, like Sanders) backs ever created their own holes.
For selfish reasons, I'd like to see Greg Williams become the head coach.
I agree with Tx bubba. Without an upgrade to the O-line, you'll have a solid QB and a great RB withering on the vine.
Reggie Bush is amazing, but he's no Barry Sanders. He needs an O-line in order to rack up those yards.
