Leaks Finally Matter?

Criminal Inquiry Opens Into Spying Leak - New York Times

"The leaking of classified information is a serious issue," said the spokesman, Trent Duffy.

"The fact is that Al Qaeda's playbook is not printed on Page 1, and when America's is, it has serious ramifications. You don't need to be Sun Tzu to understand that," he said, referring to the Chinese warrior who wrote "The Art of War."

Hmmm, I wonder if this would be another one of those "serious issues" that gets downgraded if it turns out the leak is a good friend of the President? Sure, hard to fathom Rove leaking this one. But let's say it was another F.O.G. ... why is it that a treasonous crime got so severely downgraded once Republicans saw the political importance of their architect getting locked up? That one sure seemed like a "serious issue" when the President was calling for the head of the leaker way back when.

Oh, and lastly ... eavesdropping on Aunt Martha without a warrant is the playbook of our Global War on Terror? Yeah, I feel safer.
