Chron.com | Texas 288 gets even greener

Noticed during the Team Borris convoy was the fruits of what this report describes: $430,000 worth of new trees lining the area around Highway 288 and 59. All part of the Green Ribbon Project. It's still a bit of an infant look as everything is still incredibly new, but it's going to be great once everything hits it's prime. Trees for Houston is sharing the tab and is widely regarded for their fine work around town.

One name missing from the Chron's report, though: Garnet Coleman. Lots of electeds helped identify areas in need of improvement and this area was a biggie for Garnet.
