Borris Miles Signs in HD146
Game on! Borris Miles effectively led a caravan of volunteers and staff from Camp Miles to Party HQ this afternoon, and with that, Borris L. Miles is in the running for District 146 (Third Ward, Sunnyside, Meyerland, etc)
(For those who are too confused, Borris is the one with the pen in his hand)
From Team Miles (full disclosure: one of which, I am)
Miles Files for State Representative District 146(Houston) ? Borris L. Miles, a successful small businessman and former law enforcement officer, has filed paperwork to run in the March 2006 Democratic primary for State House District 146. Miles is a lifelong resident of the district who grew up in Sunnyside.
?It?s time for a change?, Miles said. ?The people of District 146, and the state of Texas as a whole, have real issues and concerns that are simply not being addressed in Austin. We must find a fair, equitable way to fund public education for all Texas children. We must ensure that our children and senior citizens receive decent healthcare. And in District 146, we must get crime and drug activity under control, and instead develop new economic opportunity. As State Representative, I will answer the call of service to the fine people who have been my neighbors all my life.?
District 146 spans southeast to southwest Houston.
Miles, 40, an insurance agent and mortgage broker, and a former Houston Independent School District police officer, has long been active in his community. Recently, he purchased a two-block area of property on Houston?s historic Almeda Drive, and located his business there as part of a larger neighborhood revitalization effort. Miles attended Yates High School and the Houston High School for Law Enforcement, and earned a degree in criminal justice from Sam Houston State University. He has two children and attends Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church.

So is Borris Miles the white guy? To an outsider, that's exactly what the photo and caption suggest, . Very poor framing!
You're just a bundle of encouragement, aren't you Dale? There's also a link to the website in the post if you're still in doubt.
You might try blaming the photographer -- or the guy who posted the photo!
Sorry Dale, I'm not the blaming sort. I'll leave that for you. It's a good photo, it was a good time at party HQ. The photographer is a good friend and the guy who posted it ... well, he's aces too ;-)
Happy Holidays, man ... you need it.
Let's see, there's a guy wearing a Borris Miles T-shirt, holding a pen which is directly on top of some forms(perhaps the forms one fills out when filing to be a candidate), surrounded by a crowd of young folks all wearing Borris Miles T-shirts....then there's this bald white guy (no offense Gerry) sitting down at the table with this "I'm the county chair" look on his face....
I hope "Dalicious" was just kidding.
