Trinity v Judson: It's On

Star-Telegram.com | 12/09/2005 | Trinity beating a path to the championship

Saturday is a day of revenge. No, nothing political about that ... just a simple high school football reference. You know it's an odd day when you ask a friend to TiVo the game, call with a 1st Q & Halftime update to accomodate my blockwalking schedule.

Oh and we apparently had a pep rally up in Euless under black light. That's something you don't see (or read about) everyday. Wish I coulda been there. Wish I could be in Round Rock to witness the moment. Wish I could be camped out in front of a TV lacking any of that. But we all gotta do what we gotta do.

From the first time me & a friend scaled the stairwell of the apartments next to the old Pennington Field to watch our soon-to-be school take on the vaunted Bryan Vikings (with future NFL RB, Rod Bernstein), there was always a sense that we had it within our community to put together a great team, even for those of us who never played.

Best of luck to the current Trojan team. There's a lot of us old timers that have been waiting for this moment.
