Scott Hochberg Endorses Jay Aiyer in City Council Runoff

Scott Hochberg, a Houston State Representative has endorsed Jay Aiyer in the runoff for City Council At-Large, Position #2.

"Jay brings the kind of measured, thoughtful approach to public policy we need on City Council", Hochberg said. "He understands the challenges the city faces, can develop the solutions, and his heart is in the right place. I am pleased to endorse Jay Aiyer for Houston City Council."

Hochberg is in his seventh term representing the 137th State House District in southwest Houston. He is widely considered the House's leading expert on education issues, and has repeatedly been recognized as one of Texas' best legislators by Texas Monthly magazine.

"I am honored to earn the support of Scott Hochberg", Aiyer said. "Scott is among the brightest stars in the Texas Legislature, always working in good faith to do right by Texas families. We are lucky to have him as a public servant, and I am extremely grateful for his endorsement."

Endorsements are, in the end, small change in campaign-land. But Scott is also my State Rep, and a longtime acquaintence. Any day I'm on the same side of a dogfight as Scott, things look a lot better.
