Where else but the National Review can you find a reason for hope on this Thanksgiving holiday? Mackubin Thomas Owens recounts a Lee Corso story from the 1963 contest (and a few other tidbits of upsets in other years ... on both sides).

I, of course, was raised to root for two teams each week: the University of Houston ... and whoever was playing Texas. As a result, A&M gets a bit of a pass in our book, even though they're still an historical rival (and frequently still a rival on the recruiting circuit).
