Poor Talmadge Heflin

I really feel no sympathy for the guy after the crap he pulled in 2004, so here's a sharp pointy stick aimed directly at Heflin's oversized ego:

2/8/05:

Heflin, who served 11 terms in the House and was chairman of the powerful House Appropriations Committee, said it was "highly likely" that he would run again to regain the House seat or another public office.

11/14/05:

Former state Rep. Talmadge Heflin, who chaired the powerful Texas House Appropriations Committee in 2003-04, will help the Texas Public Policy Foundation study the state's budget, the Austin research group said Monday.

11/17/05:

Talmadge Heflin, a former state representative who once opposed the lottery, has applied to become the agency's next director.

About the only thing more ironic would be to see Heflin running an adoption agency.
