More on Dan Patrick for State Senate
Via Quorum Report, it looks like there's more fire to the smoke that is Dan Patrick's candidacy for SD7.
Patrick said he is assembling his campaign team, and without an official announcement, he didn?t want to name names yet. As for funding an expensive race, he said he believes generally when people contribute money, they?re more likely to vote, but he will also use his personal resources.
Chris Elam also notes that the internet presence has been successfully procured for Patrick.

Dan is a good person and I agree with him most of the time. But I don't think he has the ability to listen to those that differ with his opinion. In order to be an effective politician you need to be able to influence others. And the only way you can influence other politicians is through diplomacy. Dan has the ability to influence his audience mainly because they agree with him on most issues. However, many politicians in Austin don't share his views and if elected he will have a tough time because he lacks diplomacy.
