Sen. Ken Salazar to Speak at HCDP Johnson-Rayburn Dinner
Ya know, I've never been to a Johnson-Rayburn Dinner, but now I think I gotta go to one. Harris County's Democratic Party has just named Colorado Senator, Ken Salazar, as the featured speaker. I'll be a bit curious to see how many Deaniacs applaud the Third Way Vice-Chair.
Now if we can just solve the mystery of what happened to HCDP.org ....

I like Ken Salazar and support him, even if I didn't like his vote in favor of the Gonzalez nomination. Everytime I see or hear the Deaniacs and Kossacks attack Salazar, Hillary Clinton, the TNR, the New Democrats and Blue Democrats it gives me an irrestible urge to write Hillary a check or one for Salazar's brother, Congressman John Salazar. I especially resent having to give Joe Lieberman (whose position on Iraq I didn't support, by the way), just to fend off a challenge from the Left. I would rather save my money to do things like wrest the seats of Beauprez (running for governor), Hostettler, Sodrel, Boustany, and the like from the Republicans. There are so many incumbent Republican House members I would like to help defeat. Indeed, I would also far rather save my money to give to candidates like Harold Ford, Sheldon Whitehouse and Bob Casey in an effort to win back the Senate.
