What Hillary Said
Los Angeles Times: Clinton's New Job: Defining the Center
"Now, I know the DLC has taken some shots from some within our party, and that it has returned fire too," she told the gathering in Columbus. "Well, I think it's high time for a cease-fire - time for all Democrats to work together based on the fundamental values we all share."
Amen ... I'll be real curious to see when Sirota, Jerome, Duncan and KOS agree.

As a relative newcomer to the party turf-wars, I've had to reconstruct the reasons for much of this bad blood, and all the players are as yet unfamiliar.
I recognize Sirota, Atrios, and Kos, but who is "Jerome"? Is this Jerome Armstrong of MyDD?
MyDD.com ... sorry ;-)
Actually, Markos has a point (before he launches in his rant): Whitman and Kilgore didn't exactly stop being snarky after Hillary made the request. Sirota was pretty much all rant.
When I hear stuff like this from either side, it drives me nuts. So much for openness. I know this is hardly uncommon--Texas has a history of Democratic divisions and infighting. But I think it's bad to get into the name calling and snarking. I think there are a lot of Democrats, or at least those who vote for Democrats in several races, who are put off by this infighting, especially as we're attracting new people to the party. It's as if not only do you need to choose a party, but now you need to choose a wing. A lot of people are not nearly so ideological, being liberal, conservative, and moderate.
I think the DLC is guilty of stirring the pot, but I also think they are an important part of the party.
