FOUND! A Republican Spending Cut!!!
Wouldn't you just know that one of the few actual spending cuts that a Republican congress can bring itself to make would also be one that makes America less secure:
Last month, the Senate Appropriations Committee cut mass-transit security funding for the coming year by $50 million from this year's $150 million level.
Senate Appropriations Committee, eh? Hmmm ... I wonder if I recognize any of the names or faces from that committee's membership. Behold, the leadership!

"Porker of the Month"?
Dude, you totally owe male Dems an apology for including "Mary Landrieu" and "Porker" in the same comment. Landrieu's hot ... there, I said it.
Sorry, I was hoping that my disbelief at associating Mary with porker would be obvious.
You know, there's a strategy for Dems regaining power that has yet to get its due: Hot candidates.
I'm down with the idea, but it only takes one look at Sherry Boyles election returns for RR Commish in 2002 to claim this might not be as successful as it should be.
Yes, but her opponent could pass for Charles Haley. Who's going to vote against the guy who helped Dallas win a Superbowl? Plus, she was saddled with Sanchez on the ticket.
Nathalie Paravicini had the problem of being on the Green ticket.
I've tried to convince my sister-in-law to run for office: She's funny, sharp, practical, and attractive, and her maiden name is Beer. She'd be a shoo-in.
