Cafe Hopping
I'll confess to being tempted to apply for the Associate Editor position over at TPMCafe.com. But aside from the heartbreak of likely not getting the gig, I think what I'd hate more is the loss of freedom to either call out a bad post or offer an occassional "What S/He Said." So, instead, I think I'll just overdose on the blog when it goes live. Hell, I'll probably give in to conformity and start a diary there ... and in so doing, lose the ability to mock those who do so on Kos. FWIW, Matt Yglesias is moving over the bulk of his blog to the new digs. No word on how the others will treat the move, but since there's heavy representation by my own A-list, I'm hoping it's an add-on account, not a carve-out. Then again, that sneaky duo from the DLC is being awfully silent on this issue. <snark>Typical centrists.</snark>
Worth noting, it seems as if TPM Cafe got off the launch pad far faster than the still-anticipated Dangerous Thoughts by Dan Gerstein. We're still waiting, Dan. The water's still fine. Dive in. The pro-Lieberman caucus of bloggers is still in need of some population growth.
