Juan Garcia ... for Senate?

Start lining em up ... Juan Garcia has been a rather hot commodity kept (till now) under wraps. Andrew @ BOR had the formal blog intro with him as a likely contender against State Rep Gene Seamen as recently as January. But for whatever reason, that seems to have changed and now we have two announced candidates for the US Senate: Garcia and Barbara Radnofsky.

I stated my view earlier that candidates willing to jump in sooner rather than later should be applauded, if not openly supported in a similar time frame. For better or worse, the US Senate race is one where there is genuinely a dam waiting to burst with candidates if Kay Bailey Hutchison opts to run elsewhere. But the fact that there may be a short list of ready candidates waiting for that announcement does nothing to diminish the confidence I have in Barbara as a candidate. From the sounds of it, Garcia should well earn the same amount of confidence.
