The Texas GOP Diaper Tax

So let's see who voted to favor taxing diapers as part of an amendment to HB3 here in Texas, shall we? (Harris County delegation emphasized)

Allen, R.; Anderson; Berman; Bohac; Bonnen; Brown, F.; Casteel; Crabb; Davis, J.; Dawson; Denny; Driver; Eissler; Flynn; Griggs; Grusendorf; Haggerty; Hamric; Hardcastle; Harper-Brown; Hartnett; Hill; Hope; Hupp; Isett; Jackson; Jones, D.; Keel; Keffer, B.; King, P.; Krusee; Laubenberg; Madden; McCall; Morrison; Mowery; Nixon; Orr; Otto; Paxton; Riddle; Solomons; Straus; Swinford; Talton; Wong; Woolley; Zedler.

For the record, not only does Joe Nixon place a higher priority on his son's private school football team being allowed to play against 5A competition than anything else, but he also favors taxing new parents as opposed to people who, like Joe, could use a good facelift.

For the record, not only does Martha Wong place a higher priority on naming every last peice of unnamed property after Ronald Reagan than anything else, but she, too, sees new parents as more worthy tax victims than newly "endowed" strippers recieving breast implants.

Beverly Wooley, I'll grant a pass to. Her upscale district has some of the tonier strip clubs in it (as well as a fair number of dancers) and I'm sure she's just looking out for her constituents.

Shortly before his re election, Texas Monthly's Piece of Furniture, Dwayne Bohac, married a nice Christian Lady he met at 2nd Baptist with a ready made family. I can see why Dwayne would not care about diaper taxes...and thank the good Lord something like him won't reproduce!
