In Response to Nate ...
Common Sense: What the f*ck?!?!?!
I dunno. To each their own. I still have a lot of love for Joementum, but maybe not THAT kinda love. I'm pretty sure sexual favors weren't exchanged for the Gonzales vote, though. I feel pretty confident of that.
Now, I'd think if ANYONE ought to know damn well the price of working with George W. Bush is something approximating Jack Squat, it'd be the guy who pushed for a Department of Homeland Security only to see the President bash your party over the head with it after flip flopping and committing what, to me, is the absolutely unforgivable act of dividing the nation in wartime by playing politics with it.
But to each their own. One thing about those on both sides of the aisle who do genuinely believe in bipartisanship is that one has to be willing to make and accept those overtures. As it is with Joe, it is with McCain, Ben Nelson, and Chuck Hagel. It takes all kinds and I wish them well in changing the tone for the better, but I share the scepticism that with this particular President, it simply will not happen in any broad sense of the word. And anyone can look at what's going on in Nevada to realize that.
