San Antonio Rose Takes the Loss

Well, we knew it would be pretty damned difficult, and sure enough ...

Straus - 7861 (63.81%)
Spector - 4022 (32.65%)
w/ 59 of 88 precincts reporting

Kudos to Rose Spector (and congrats to Joe Straus) for jumping in the race regardless of the odds. It's more fighting spirit like that that we need throughout the state. If there's a lesson to take from this race its that there is nothing to lose and everything to gain by taking the Democratic Party to all corners of the state regardless of their electoral hue. May we have many more to come in 2006.

I am sorry. You did say all along that this was a Republican jurisdiction and that it would be difficult. Keep fighting the good fight down there in Texas!!!!
