Pardon my slowness as of late ...

A rather eventful weekend led to a plan of active and fruitful blogging hitting the dustbin of history. Fear not, faithful reader. Tonight's a full night, with a heavy-hearted post involving introspection and loads of other crap that maybe a dozen people ought to care about. Plus, there's the ongoing debate that Beinart's TNR article has started off. Kevin Drum, I would argue, is doing the Lord's work in his blogging of late (here, here, and here). Matt Yglesias even picks up the convo for the good side. Yet even though I fully realized Atrios was much further to the left of me or even this bunch, the angle he's taking on this topic is utterly baffling to me, as the post from earlier today indicates.

Yet, as Kevin suggests and I echo, this is a debate those of us in the Dem camp need to argue vociferously. For the rest of you, you can giggle and snort over the fact that I'm tagged a "conservative" in reply to a comment on this post.

ADD-ON: Missed this one, but Noam Scheiber has another take on the matter in TNR.
