The Wireless Middle School

A Texas District Banks on Wireless Ubiquity

First things first ... holy crap, the school mentioned here (Bammel Middle School) used to be in the neighborhood I lived in on the north side of town. That shocks me only due to it not necessarily being in the stereotypical "wired" neighborhoods around Houston (it being closer to Greenspoint than Champions Forest).

To the point of the article, I think its a worthwhile debate to have over how much, if any, it helps to have such technology in the classroom. But I'm also of the opinion that a thousand experiments will breed some good and some bad outcomes. With that in mind, I say let the experiment roll on and see what happens with it for a few years.
