Pulling the Rug
Politicalwire links to a Hugh Hewitt peice that raises a pretty intriguing hypothetical: wouldn't it be a great dirty trick campaign to run a blog, set it up as some sort of pre-eminent support site of a candidate ... and then change course at some point. Imagine KOS suddenly pulling the rug out from underneath any number of candidates it supports. Say like the time one major site pulled its support from raising money for the DNC, for instance. Who was that, again?
Oh yeah ... it was KOS.
Sorry Hugh, been there & done that. You're a bit late on this one.

This reminds me of the Bush 2000 eGroup. In 1999 posters were discussing potential weaknesses of Bush when some gomer came on and commented, "You're right about that! Bush just doesn't have enough experience. In fact, thinking about it right now, I think I'm going to support Lamar Alexander instead..." and then preceeds to list Alexander's entire biography supposedly at the 'spur of the moment' that he made the decision to go from Bush to Lamar.
