Democratic group assists Chandler with TV advertising
Simon Rosenberg's New Democrat Network is off to the races with a bit less than $200,000 for a media buy in the KY race for Governor. While not a big dollar story, it's significant in that it represents a warm up for a bigger approach to getting some equal treatment on our side in terms of putting some independent expenditures into campaigns. If NDN can get the ball rolling on campaigns like this, they may serve as a saner voice than the likes of MoveOn.org within Democratic party circles.
Also encouraging is the TV appearance of former KY Gov & Sen, Wendell Ford to aid Chandler.
