Edwards Already One-Up on His Opponents
Wise Counsel - Edwards copies Clinton's message - in invisible ink.
A rather useful look at how Edwards is starting out of the gate with his message pretty well formed and articulated. Expect to hear the term "regular people" about as often as "folks who play by the rules" or "building a bridge to the 21st cetnury" or "changing the tone." Edwards is already on message and he's even prepared to take on the whole trial lawyer image head-on.
I say its time that that last point finally happens. I've always found it odd that society is much more forgiving of corporate lawyers, many of whom never set foot in a courtroom, while trial lawyers (a far more entrepreneurial lot) are vilified. Prosecutors lie with as much or more frequency. Plus, they've got far more state-controlled power to abuse at their fingertips. The McDonalds coffee lawsuit gets all sorts of negative reactions. But rarely do we hear about corporate lawyers bogging down the system with delays, or the prosecutor who's abused every power at his disposal. There's snakes and good guys on all sides here ... let's judge on the merits, not the cartoon images drawn up by others.
One memo to Edwards on the front burner now ...
