Nice little writeup on the political landscape of Ft. Bend County. Sad thing is Dems aren't even trying and end up leaving General Election contests uncontested. The result of that is that voters who do wish to make a difference and don't have strong party allegiances are left with no option short of voting in the Republican Primary and end up with a vested interest in voting Republican. Harris County Dems learned this lesson after the last few cycles and at least fielded some competitive candidates last time around. What Ft. Bend needs is a good perennial candidate who's not too loony.
