A few more numbers on Sharp

As the Bexar county numbers roll in, I'm still looking at this Hispanic vs Suburban county spreadsheet of mine and shaking my head. Obviously, the Hispanic county side of it is still incomplete, but the suburban county vote total increased by 47% over the 1998 numbers.

With about 15% in for Bexar, the Hispanic counties are sitting at the same numbers they had in 1998. To be sure, Sharp gets a better % of those votes: 58.7-58.0, while losing votes in the suburbs: 33.9-35.3. Sharp's current net loss on this comparison stands at a 75,644 deficit compared to 26,231 4 years ago. That'll get made up as the totals roll in for Bexar, but not by a significant margin.

Also noteworthy on Bexar results ... indeed Sanchez IS losing that county. Another sign that voters paid attention to the issues of this election and that issues matter most.
