DMN Poll on Texas Races
DallasNews.com | Dallas-Fort Worth | Latest News
Nothing out of the ordinary here ... 10 point races in the Gov and Senate race. About the only thing to really note here is that Sharp is continually showing up as 2-3 points under Dewhurst. While still within the margin of error, its a sign that Sharp hasn't made up enough ground to pull the race out.

Telephone polls now have a 2-3% point Republican bias in usual races. With massive funding from Sanchez, the Get-Out-The-Vote effort for Democrats is unprecedented. They have rented about every van in the state for Tuesday. Strong Democratic counties have had a huge upsurge in early voting. Sharp is in, Kirk is probably in and a lot of down ballot elections will be impacted by straight ticket voting. I don't see Sanchez benefitting however, the two ex-DEA agents, one convicted in a murder-for-hire scheme and one facing a Mexican kidnapping charge, have smeared him too badly.
