Could Kirk be gaining?

Texas Surprise? - Plus: How to tell that kf skipped Poli Sci 101. By Mickey Kaus

Well, maybe I'm not the only one who thought the NBC5 poll was a little whacky, but now Mickey Kaus is reporting a little rumor about internal Republican polling showing the same thing. This might get more interesting after all. Personally, I felt Kirk would benefit from a better GOTV effort that has benefited other African American candidates in the past (not the least of which was Lee Brown here in Houston). The effort in the Valley is not insignificant as well, but the task is much more difficult. I'll have a few amendments to the prediction list I made earlier, but I'm still not ready to write Texas in the blue column just yet for this race. Nevertheless, it certainly got a lot more interesting today.
